About this policy
This policy explains how the Avoca Beach Pharmacy website handles your information. Avoca Beach Pharmacy is at 172-174 Avoca Drive, Avoca Beach NSW 2251. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What this website collects
This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics, and it sets no cookies for visitors. Like every website, our web server keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use them only to keep the website secure and running.
Online bookings
When you book an appointment online, we collect your name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, the service and time you choose, and anything you add in the notes. We need these details to prepare for your appointment, check that a service suits your age, contact you if something changes, and send you a confirmation and a reminder by email.
Only our pharmacy team can see your booking. It’s stored on our website’s server, protected by staff logins, and sent to the pharmacy’s email inbox. We don’t sell your details or share them with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
We delete online bookings automatically a few months after the appointment. Your vaccination records are kept separately, as the law requires, for example on the Australian Immunisation Register. To change or cancel a booking, use the link in your confirmation email or call us on 02 4382 1314.
When you contact us
If you call us or email us, we use the details you give us to answer you and to provide our pharmacy services. Health information you share with us is confidential. We only use it to look after your health, unless the law requires or allows otherwise.
Email isn’t fully private. Please send only what we need, and never send card details by email.
Google Maps
Our Contact and Prescriptions pages can show a map from Google. It only loads when you choose Show map. Google then receives information such as your IP address under Google’s privacy policy.
Google reviews
The reviews on our home page come from Google Maps. When you scroll to them, our website asks Google for the current rating and reviews and shows them to you. Your browser doesn’t connect to Google for this, the reviewers’ profile pictures also come through our website, and we don’t keep a copy of the reviews. Google handles its side under the Google Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites
We link to Facebook, Instagram, Google and government health websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
